Mavela Double Up
I was up at 4:30 on Saturday morning, packed the car, and then picked up Nick and Bruce on the way to Mavela. We stopped off for the mandatory cup of coffee, which I ended up only drinking half of, in fear of needing to wear a nappy under my waders. By 7am we were all in our tubes and on the water. Fishing was a little slow with almost no breeze and temperatures nearing 30 degrees (I’d guess).
Thankfully Nick and I both produced fish under these tough conditions, and not only did we produce, we doubled up. Sadly Bruce was not so lucky and therefore spent the day being mocked by Nick and I. But as he so kindly pointed out, the tables can turn quickly, so I guess I’d better be careful next time I head fishing with him.
