The Hillcrest Marathon

My alarm went off at around 5am on Sunday. Thankfully I was time keeping and therefore only needed to beat the first runner to the finish. The marshals etc had to be there at around 4am and so I was smiling happily as I arrived at 5:30am. The time keeping went off without a hitch although scanning in over 2000 runners is not the most entertaining job.

Sharon arrived a little later with a McDonalds breakfast for me and to keep me company. You rock Sharon!

After the last runner had crossed the line and had been scanned in Sharon and I headed to Kauai for some lunch (and to do our weekly shop). Thanks to a combination of illness and the early start I was feeling a bit below the weather. As a result the plan was to relax and watch a movie or two for the rest of the day.
